Quality Control Technician (One Year Fixed Term Contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake, record and report on factory production control quality assurance checks for incoming raw materials to finished product
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and provide feedback to production teams
  • Work closely with production teams, process engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Conducting product testing, inputting data into the database, and analysing quality results to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Support R&D and innovation projects, Plan, Test and Report.
  • Support cross-functional teams across departments driving performance excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document any noncompliance and ensure that recorded compliance issues are resolved and corrected.
  • Assist with technical administration functions via Q-Pulse as required
  • Ensure 6S is applied to all work areas and equipment.
  • Support environmental department with the monitoring and testing of water samples across the site.
  • Improve product guidelines / documentation and standard work procedures
  • Assist external testing requirements for new products.
  • Ensure testing, measuring and monitoring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained as per SMARTPLY calibration schedule
  • Conduct Internal IMS audits as part of SMARTPLY auditing schedule
  • Promote a culture of Quality within MEDITE SMARTPLY
  • Deliver Quality related training to process departments as required

Typical Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience

  • Third level qualification in a relevant science or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • A strong track record of team working in quality control is essential
  • Excellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills required
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one’s own initiative
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills
  • Creativity, Flexibility, analytical thinking and attention to detail
