Bei MEDITE SMARTPLY ist unser Engagement für Nachhaltigkeit auf allen Ebenen unseres Unternehmens verankert. Es ist auch der Schlüssel zu unserem Ziel, bis 2030 Kohlenstoffneutralität durch Scope 1 und 2 Emissionenzu erreichen . Wir machen in dieser Hinsicht hervorragende Fortschritte, sind uns aber bewusst, dass noch viel Arbeit vor uns liegt. Unser längerfristiges Ziel ist es, im Einklang mit der britischen, irischen und EU-Gesetzgebung bis 2050 ein Netto-Null-Hersteller zu werden .
Gegenwärtig stammen 95 % der von MEDITE SMARTPLY direkt bezogenen Energie aus erneuerbaren Quellen. Im Jahr 2021 sicherte sich MEDITE SMARTPLY einen Herkunftsnachweis für Ökostrom, der es uns ermöglichte, unsere Umstellung auf 100 % Ökostrom zu bestätigen.
Wir beabsichtigen auch, mit unseren Kunden und der Lieferkette zusammenzuarbeiten, um sie bei der Verringerung ihres Kohlenstoffausstoßes zu unterstützen, damit wir ihre und unsere eigenen Emissionen reduzieren können. Diese Zusammenarbeit wird dazu beitragen, bewährte Praktiken innerhalb der Branche zu fördern, was zu einem besseren Verständnis der Herausforderungen, denen sich die Branche gegenübersieht, und letztlich zu einer Verringerung der Kohlenstoffbelastung führen wird.
