Onze route om een toonaangevende duurzame fabrikant te worden
Bij MEDITE SMARTPLY is onze toewijding aan duurzaamheid essentieel op alle niveaus van ons bedrijf. Het is ook essentieel voor onze ambitie om koolstofneutraliteitte bereiken tegen 2030 door scope 1 en 2 emissies. We boeken uitstekende vooruitgang op dit gebied, maar erkennen dat er nog veel werk te doen is. Ons doel voor de langere termijn is om tegen 2050 een fabrikant te zijn die geen CO2 uitstoot, in overeenstemming met de wetgeving in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Ierland en de EU.
Op dit moment is 95% van de energie die MEDITE SMARTPLY gebruikt voor directe activiteiten hernieuwbaar. In 2021 verzekerde MEDITE SMARTPLY zich van een garantie van oorsprong voor groene stroom, waardoor we onze overstap naar 100% groene stroom konden bevestigen.
We zijn ook van plan om samen te werken met klanten en de toeleveringsketen, om hen te ondersteunen bij hun koolstofreductietraject, om hun uitstoot en die van onszelf te helpen verminderen. Deze samenwerking zal helpen om goede praktijken binnen de industrie te bevorderen, wat zal leiden tot een beter begrip van de uitdagingen waar de industrie voor staat en uiteindelijk tot een vermindering van de CO2-impact.
