Reporting to the Capital Projects Manager the person will be part of projects team tasked with delivering a vast range of projects within the site. The person will be responsible for delivering projects through all project lifecycle stages: initiation, detailed design, procurement, execution & close out.
Key Responsibilities
- Environmental, Health & Safety:
- Ensure projects are compliant with all relevant environmental, health& safety standard & regulations.
- Ensure project design complies with all statutory & regulatory requirements from CSA, mechanical, electrical & automation i.e. Machinery Directives, PED, ATEX, CE
- Project Management
- Develop Project Scope of Work
- Engage with stakeholders
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams.
- Provide innovative solutions,
- Direct and manage all stages of each project.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project
- Creation of technical drawings, design schematics, and plans based on project requirements
- Planning & managing resources

- Cost/Procurement
- Developing project budget/cost estimates
- Developing tender documents
- Project Close Out
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Ensure proper handover on completion including key aspects of safety, training & communication.
- Ensure all drawings, electrical diagrams, as-builts operations & maintenance manuals and the technical file is handed over on completion.
Qualification/Experience
- Degree FETAC Level 7 in Engineering minimum or equivalent
- 5+ years relevant experience in a project management/engineering capacity in large manufacturing/industrial setting
- CAD/Drafting/Modelling experience an advantage
- Microsoft Project or equivalent experience
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within time constraints.
- Proven record of CPD.
- Technical Report Writing Skills
- Basic budgeting skills
- High level of motivation and commitment to best practice and continuous improvement
