SITE SAFETY

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 demonstrates the duty of care that all construction companies and site managers are responsible for, which is to take all reasonable steps to ensure that both employees and the public are safe from construction work hazards.

Building Safer Sites From the Ground Up

While many traditional safety solutions might appear adequate at first glance, not all are designed to withstand the realities of modern construction. Residential developments are expanding, warehouses are being delivered at unprecedented speed and the rise of modern methods of construction (MMC) means sites are busier, more complex, and more pressure than ever.

From the hoarding that shields the public to the floor panels that support workers throughout the build, every material on site must endure heavy wear, unpredictable weather, and constant movement - without compromising safety for a single moment.

Engineered Solutions for Long Term Performance

Site Hoarding

Site hoarding is a crucial element in maintaining a safe and well‑managed construction environment. It provides a solid physical barrier that shields site workers from external hazards and debris, while also safeguarding members of the public from the risks associated with ongoing construction activities.

Slip Resistance

Slip resistance is an essential consideration on any active site, particularly where surfaces are exposed to moisture, mud or heavy footfall. To tackle this challenge, our innovative SURESTEP DB panels are built with a unique surface profile that grips firmly under pressure, helping to stabilise footing even in difficult conditions. The result is a flooring system that performs consistently and helps maintain a safer overall working environment.

Pre-Cut Pattressing

For regular drylining systems, cutting the recess out of a panel on site is a risk, both in terms of accuracy and overall site safety. In line with FIS safety task guidelines, use of our specialised PATTRESS PLUS panels enables a massive reduction in unnecessary dust and excessive noise as no cutting is required. By removing a common source of site incidents, pre‑cut pattressing helps create a more controlled environment where trades can operate confidently and efficiently.
