The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that products, services, and processes adhere to quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of quality awareness and excellence across the organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance systems, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, certifications, internal standards and sustainability targets.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QPulse), ensuring it supports product quality, process efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Regularly assess and refine product quality, processes, and recipes (BOM) for compliance and performance, controlled under the change management system.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Use data analysis and problem-solving techniques to resolve quality issues and implement effective solutions.
- Lead internal and external audits, including regulatory and certification inspections and maintain accurate documentation to support compliance efforts.
- Support supplier quality management and implement processes to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
- Lead, train, and mentor the quality team, fostering professional growth, technical excellence, and high performance.
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability across departments and externally with suppliers and partners.
- Engage with customers to build relationships, understand their needs, and incorporate feedback into improvements.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues, ensuring lessons learned are communicated across operations teams to drive better outcomes.
- Report quality performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Clearly communicate metrics, progress, and challenges across teams.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO Auditor) are preferred.
- Proven experience in quality management and quality assurance, with a track record of implementing and managing QMS in a manufacturing, service, or related environment.
- Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, ISO standards), relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering results.
- Ability to work collaboratively and drive change across an organisation.
